Malta with largest decrease in early school leavers in EU
In the decade between 2000 and 2010, Malta registered the largest decrease in its rate of early school leavers. The rate stood at 54.2% in 2000. This decreased to 36.9% in 2010, which means a decrease of 17.3 percentage points over 11 years.

Malta in line with EU directive on egg-laying hens
The Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs refers to the statement made earlier today by the European Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy, John Dalli, warning that the Commission will be launching legal action in the coming days against 14 EU Member States for incorrectly implementing Council Directive 1999/74/EC on egg-laying hens.
