The celebrations for the feast of the Immaculate Conception in Cospicua are being held on Tuesday the 8th of December, a public holiday in the Maltese Islands. Maltese feasts are traditionally held during the summer period, understandable due to more favourable weather conditions.

Public Broadcasting Services Limited has received a total of 66 entries for the Malta Junior Euro Song 2009. The winner will represent Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 to be held in Kiev, Ukraine on the 21st November 2009.

Notte Bianca to expand
Preparations for the next Notte Bianca, which will see a flurry of cultural and entertainment activities held on the night of the 3rd October in Valletta, are in full swing. The organisers have thaught of lighting up other parts of the Maltese capital with 170 events.
