Video: New national football coach to focus on youth
In an exclusive interview with Favourite News, new national football coach John Buttigieg, said that besides concentrating on national matches, his priorities in football will focus on youth and on providing training for very young children.
45-year-old Buttigieg said that coaching the national team will be a big challenge but that he is looking forward and optimistically to start training.
The former Birkirkara coach will be assisted by former national team captain Carmel Busuttil. Both had to take up their role earlier because previous coach Dusan Fitzel was forced to quit due to health problems.
Favourite News also asked Buttigieg who he considered to be the best ex-national coaches. For this and more, view the Favourite Channel News interview.
