Posted on July 28th, 2009
Work on the Marsascala Bypass is in full swing – in fact the first part of it is now ready and also tarmacked, Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt said on Tuesday morning.
The Minister said he is happy with the work so far and added that the work should be finished by mid-2010. This project is worth 9 million euros, of which 7 million euros are coming from EU funds.
The Marsascala project is part of the Arterial Roads Network that are being build with EU funds. This year, besides the 3km-long Marsascala Bypass, the 2km-long Valletta Road at Zurrieq is also being built with EU Funds for a total cost of 6 million euros.
