Two serious incidents occurred - a man injured when he tried to stop his hi-up from hitting his neighbour’s wall on Sunday and two people injured in a boat accident late on Saturday evening.

A man was injured in Kalkara after he tried to stop a high-up after it began moving on its own. The police reported that at around 9.30am on Sunday a 44-year-old man was injured in Triq is-Sienja in Kalkara after he tried to stop a high-up which, for some unknown reason, began moving on its own.

The victim was injured after he ended up trapped between the high-up and a wall. He was taken to hospital where he was certified as being in danger of losing his life.

Two people were injured after the boat they were on ended up crashing into another boat at Bugibba late on Saturday evening. The police reported that the incident happened at around 9:45pm when a speedboat with 6 passengers on board crashed into a berthed boat in Bugibba.

Two people on board the speedboat, a 23-year-old man from Gzira and a 37-year-old man from Imtarfa, were seriously injured and were taken to hospital.
