An 84-year-old man died when he ended up under the plough he was using to plough his field.

The police were informed at around noon that there was an injured man in Council of Europe Road in Luqa, but the man was dead when they arrived.

It appears that the man, Joseph Scicluna, who lives in Luqa, was caught under the blades of the plough he was using. He was certified dead on site.
