Finance Minister Tonio Fenech has announced that another 143 enterprises will stand to benefit from €8 million from the second installment of the European Regional Development Fund bringing the total number of beneficiaries this year to 288.

The minister was visiting Grixti Mobili Limited in Marsa. This company, which has invested in new machinery thanks to EU funds amounting to €73,000, makes furniture and employs 17 workers.

Schemes under the fund encourage local enterprises to be innovative, protect the environment, reduce waste and explore new European markets.
