Two drivers injured in two separate accidents
A 29-year-old man from Siggiewi was seriously injured when he lost control of the car he was driving along Ibragg Road in Ibragg early on Saturday morning.
The police reported that the man was driving a Maruti Gypsy when for some reason he lost control of his car and ended up crashing against a wall of a private residence at around 04:40 CET. The car was extensively damaged.
The man was taken to hospital where he was certified to be seriously injured and in danger of dying.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man from Santa Lucia was injured when he lost control of the car he was driving along Valletta Road in Mqabba and crashed into a tree.
The police reported that the man was driving a Volkswagen Polo when for some reason he lost control of his car and ended up crashing against into a tree at around 02:20 CET on Saturday. The car was extensively damaged.
The youth was taken to hospital where he was certified to be seriously injured but not in danger of dying.
