Mellieha Tigers Softball Club (Malta) will be hosting a two day fast-pitch softball tournament in December. Two Italian teams, Milano and Saronno, together with the hosting team Mellieha Tigers will participate in this tournament. Games will be played on the 6th and 8th of December 2009. All games will take place at San Gwann Football Ground and the fixtures for both days are as follows:

10.00-11.30: Mellieha vs Saronno
11.45-13.00: Milano vs Mellieha
14.30-16.00: Milano vs Saronno

Furthermore, several people shall be participating in this tournament mainly 40 players, eight coaches, accompanying parents and two foreign umpires. In relation to this, the Maltese team will be engaged in an intensive one day clinic, where the umpires will explain certain particular rules of the game. Apart from the tournament, both teams will be enjoying entrancing visits around Malta, namely Valletta, Mdina, Ta’ Qali Crafts Village and other places of interest. This tournament will serve as an experience for most of the players and will also help in improving their skills in playing. This tournament will hopefully also help the tigers in promoting the Softball game in Malta.
