Price of petrol down by 1 cent
Enemalta Corporation has announced revisions in fuel prices effective from 4th January 2010 with the price of petrol going down by 1 cent and the price of diesel remaining unchanged.
These revisions reflect the prices fetched by Enemalta for the latest shipments of imported fuel.

The December unleaded consignment was based on December Platts average levels which were lower than November levels on which previous revisions were based.
With regards to the December diesel consignment, this was based on November Platts average levels which were higher than August levels on which previous revisions were based.
Still stabilty in prices was brought about by more favourable exchange rates. Since January this year, Brent crude oil prices have surged by 57% from a level of $46.91 a barrel to $73.46 a barrel as illustrated in the graph below.
