A man was seriously injured at Zabbar at around 10:30 CET on Wednesday when he was shot in the head.

The incident happened in Triq il-Foss which is between Żabbar and Fgura. The man was taken to hospital.

Although it appears that the shooting was a hunting accident, police are leading further investigations and a man was questioned by the police on site.

Relatives of this man criticised the journalists for being near the scene and insisted that the man in question never hurt anyone before and that this was an accident.
