Timesofmalta.com has reported that a car was seen falling down Dingli Cliffs on Saturday afternoon but when the Armed Forces and Civil Protection Department (CPD) employees abseiled down the cliffs they found it was empty. The car did not have a number plate.

Timesofmalta.com reported that the car was seen falling by a passer-by a short while before 15:00 CET. He also told the police that the car burst into flames at the bottom of the cliff.

A helicopter also quickly arrived on the scene followed shortly after by CPD rescuers who abseiled down the cliff face to check the wreckage.
