79 year-old Gozitan dies in traffic accident

A 79-year-old man from Gozo died in hospital Wednesday morning a few hours after being hit by a Toyota car driven by a 50-year-old man.
According to a statement by the police, the accident happened at Pope John Paul II Street in Victoria, Gozo at 0640CEST. The driver also hails from Victoria.
Magistrate Paul Coppini is leading an inquiry.
