Video: 30 year-old man dies in Kirkop accident

A man died in hospital after his Ford Escort van crashed into the entrance of the Kirkop tunnel on Monday morning.
The 30-year-old man from Birzebbuga was rescued from the wreckage at 0730CEST by officers of the Civil Protection Department and taken to Mater Dei.
The passenger, a 23-year-old man, also from Birzebbuga, also needed medical treatment for serious injuries but is not in danger of losing his life.
A magisterial inquiry is being led by Dr A Micallef Trigona.
