A traffic accident at around 11:15 CEST on Friday in the Santa Venera tunnels, in the direction from Marsa to St Julians, has forced the closure of one of the lanes.

The accident was between a Ford Ka car driven by a 34-year-old woman from B’Kara and an Opel Zafira driven by a 39-year-old woman from Sliema. The was a 10-year-old boy in the Ford Ka.

All three were rushed to hospital. None of them are in danger of dying and the boy was only slightly injured.
