Two Gozitans arrested on drugs and rape charges
40-year-old John Sultana from Gozo pleaded not guilty to the possession and trafficking of cocaine on 5th August and during the past year. He was also accused with the possession of heroin. The accused was remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, another 40-year-old man from Għarb pleaded not guilty to corrupting a 16-year-old girl. He was also accused with keeping the girl against her will and with attempting to rape her in a public place. The accused was remanded in custody.
In another case, 35-year-old John Michael, who is from Nigeria and is living at the Marsa Open Centre, and 19-year-old Paco Carmona Alves, born in France but currently living in Malta, pleaded not guilty to the importation and trafficking in cocaine and heroin. They were remanded in custody.
