In a pastoral letter written to celebrate the feast of the Assumption, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech has said that individualism generated by a capitalist culture has led to the spread of anonymity and the growth of indifference.

In his letter the Bishop wrote that the solution to all these ills was solidarity - social solidarity, solidarity in education, with families, environmental solidarity and God’s solidarity with man.
