Various NGOs organise fund-raising events throughout the year in order to hep various institutions. Voluntary work commissioner Kenneth  Wayne approves of these events, Favourite Channel News reports.

On Friday 20th three fund-raising marathons were opened in aid of flooding victims in Pakistan, these add up to the Lifecycle and the Civil Protection Department collection.

When asked if the fund-raising events should be centralised to one organising institution Commissioner Wayne said he disagreed as each event has it’s own requirements.

Mr. Wayne was not concerned about the large number of fund-raising events as long as these are according to regulations.
