On Wednesday afternoon a woman, aged 48, was involved in a robbery at San Pawl tat-Targa, the police said in a statement.

The incident occurred at around 17:45 hrs CEST. When the woman left her vehicle two persons, one of  which possessed a wooden object, moved towards her and stole her bag, which contained a considerable amount of money.

The robbers then left the scene on a Toyota Corolla, the police said.

Duty Magistrate Dr. J. Apap Bologna LL.D has opened an inquiry.
