A man ran away with a small amount of cash in a hold-up at a shop in Ganu Street, Birkirkara, at 1830CEST on Monday.

According to a police report, he demanded money from a 22-year-old salesgirl from Żebbuġ while threatening her with a pointed instrument. No one was injured.

Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna is leading an inquiry.
