On Saturday 27th of November the Beland Band of Zejtun will hold its Annual Concert and officially launch the year-long celebrations on the 150th Anniversary of the Founding of the Beland Band.

The concert will be held at the St Thomas More College Hall in Zejtun, at 19:30hrs CEST.

The Band, under the direction of Mro Ray Sciberras, will play a variety of musical selections, varying from classical to pop to contemporary music. Mro Tancred Grech will perform Solo on his Euphonium a virtuoso piece adapted on the famous “Carnival of Venice” and Mro Ivan Plumpton will perform “Jeux Interdits” on classic guitar. Bellini’s Sinfonia “Norma”, the famous “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich, “Estudiantina” by Emile Waldteufel, alongside with a Concert Piece by Mro Sciberras will also feature in this Concert.
