The panel of professional judges at the 2011 Malta Eurovision Song Contest, held on Friday and Saturday, will be headed by Italian songwriter and singer Riccardo Cocciante.

On Friday the 24 selected songs will be shortlisted to 16 for Saturday, chosen by the jury and public. The public vote will contribute to a third of the final vote.

A Red Carpet show will also set up the mood at the Mediterranean Conference Centre between 18:00 and 20:00hrs CET on Saturday.
