Briton arrested at MIA for drug trafficking

On Friday afternoon the customs officers at the Malta International Airport held a Briton after they found 8kg of cannabis resin hidden in his suitcase.
The 56-year-old Briton, resident in Thailand, had just flown in from Dubai.
He is expected to be arraigned in court on Saturday facing charges of association to drugs trafficking, importing and trafficking cannabis resin, the police said.
