Two seriously injured in separate falls
On Wednesday a 46-year-old man from Kalkara and a 53-year-old man from Zabbar were both injured after separate falls. The 46-year-old is in a critical, life-threatening condition whereas the 53-year-old sustained grievous head injuries.
The 46-year-old was injured after he fell a height of two and a half storeys from the roof of his residence.
The police confirmed that the incident occurred at around 18:00hrs CEST.
The man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Furthermore in a separate incident, at 14:00hrs CEST, a 53-year-old man from Zabbar was seriously injured after a fall at a construction site in Pembroke Atleta, Pembroke.
The police said that the man was rushed to Mater Dei hospital where he was certified as suffering from grievous head injuries.
Further investigations are underway.
