On Friday afternoon a 47-year-old motorcyclist from Sliema was critically injured following a traffic accident in Mosta Road, St Paul’s Bay.

The police confirmed that the motorcyclist driving a Piaggo Runner collided with a Land Rover Freelander, driven by a 27-year-old woman from Siggiewi at around 14:00hrs CEST.

The man was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he is treated for serious and life-threatening injuries.

An inquiry has been set.
