A man died in a traffic accident in Aldo Moro Street, Marsa early on Saturday morning.

The man has not yet been identified. The police confirmed that at around 00:15hrs CET he was hit by a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 28-year-old man from Sta Venera.

An ambulance rushed the victim to Mater Dei hospital where he died some time after.

An inquiry was set.
