The police reported that a road which leads up the hill from Naxxar Road to the Upper Secondary School was blocked when an old vacant building collapsed. A number of drivers in Valley Road in Birkirkara needed were also rescued early on Thursday morning by Civil Protection employees as rainwater trapped them in their cars.
