Appointed new CEO at Malta Airport
Mr Markus Klaushofer has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Malta International Airport plc, with effect as of the 1st January 2012.
For the past three years, Mr Klaushofer, aged 38, was at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, first as Divisional Director for Marketing, Sales & Business Development and subsequently as Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to that, he spent over seven years at Vienna International Airport, first as Head of Marketing & Sales (including Cargo) and later took over the added role of Business Development.
He was born in Vienna, Austria and has attended the Law School of the University of Vienna.
This is not Mr Klaushofer’s first contact with Malta and Malta International Airport, having served on the Board of Directors of Malta International Airport plc, between April 2007 and April 2009.
In an initial comment, Mr Klaushofer said that he was honoured to be appointed Chief Executive Officer at Malta International Airport plc.
