This year is the fourth edition of the Christmas in Mellieha. This activity has now become part of the annual calendar and is overwhelmingly expected.

Undoubtedly the Christmas in Mellieha activity reaches entire families, and each day is different from the other. Thus those who attend will have days of variety with exhibitions, Christmas food and drinks amongst many other attractions. Entertainment is guaranteed and spread over eight days, with The Pink Floyd Tribute Band as special guests.

Christmas in Mellieha 2011 will start Saturday 17th December and go on every day until Saturday 24th December. During Sunday activities will be on going all day long. The official opening will be in George Borg Olivier Street with Disney character attractions parade for children – similar to the one in Disney Land.

The religious element will also be present where visitors will be able to enjoy demonstrations of cribs, and even will find traditional procession with Baby Jesus.

Other attractions also include daily live concerts on the main palk, daily kids christmas fun park, trackless train, live crib, crib and craft shows as well as food, desserts and beverages. Also dance shows by international artists United World College of the Adriatic (UWCAD) to promote peace and unity amongst nations. World War II shelters will also be open for viewing for the general public, and as well kids area entitled Kitty’s Wonderland under the tent.

This and much more will be taking place during Christmas in Mellieha 2011. The Mellieha Local Council is inviting all Maltese and Gozitan families, friends and tourist to attend this annual event.
