Two seriously injured in Valletta crash
Five people were involved in a traffic accident in Great Siege Road, Valletta, on Friday night. Two were seriously injured, however both are now in a stable condition.
The police confirmed that at around 21:00hrs CET a silver Maruti 800 driven by a 33-year-old man from Pieta and a grey Honda Civic driven by a 59-year-old man from Valletta crashed head-on.
The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured however the passenger a 54-year-old woman, also from Valletta, sustained grievous injuries.
A 64-year-old man who was a passenger in the Maruti was in a critical condition however his condition has now improved. Another man, an 18-year-old, from Birkirkara, who was also a passenger in the Maruti was slightly injured.
A parked car, a yellow Hyundai Accent, was also damaged.
This was the third traffic accident on Friday, the first, in Gzira, left a 25-year-old woman in a critical condition and a 69-year-old man from Imgarr was injured in a collision in Imgarr at around 17:15hrs CET.
