Malcolm Galea has been commissioned to write the script which will incorporate many musical numbers. These will be pop pieces from different eras that will be mixed together. Songs will range from Frank Sinatra to the Beatles to Lady Gaga, all mixed together. The song lyrics are the original but the songs chosen have lyrics that are appropriate to the scenes. There will be a live band. A choreographer will work on all the movements/musical pieces. The cast will be made up of around 20-25 young actors who will be chosen from an open call of auditions. Wesley Ellul has been commissioned to direct this innovative piece which should make one of Shakespeare’s greatest love stories accessible to a young audience.

Kjaroskur
Playing on the idea that perspectives make the world go round the story follows four normal people struggling with their insecurities, fears and impulses like every Tom, Dick and Harry. It is also a play about being given a second chance at life and how there are usually two paths to choose from when this happens: move on or stay put. But as we all come with baggage, is such a choice that easy? And what happens when too many people are interpreting the same thing and nothing remains objective? Can a choice be that black, or white, or grey?
Dù Theatre is back with this new original piece and first prize winner of the Francis Ebejer Competition 2011. Written by Simone Spiteri this new piece comes after the sell-out success of Appuntamenti, also a Francis Ebejer winning play in 2009.
