In February, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices went up by 0.6 per cent over the previous month to 113.72 from 112.99 in January, the NSO revealed on Wednesday.

This primarily reflected an increase of 1.5 per cent in the Clothing and Footwear Index due to seasonal price rises in garments.

In February, the twelve-month moving average rate of inflation stood at 2.3 per cent, whereas the annual rate of inflation stood at 2.4 per cent.
