The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts would like to inform the general public that the Cultural Tour for Gozo; scheduled for Sunday 6th May 2012 is fully booked. The same tour is being repeated on Sunday 13th May 2012 and there are still seats available for those who want to join this tour.

A full day excursion accompanied by professional guides the tour will visit the picturesque Dwejra area and explore the Coastal Tower. The tour shall then proceed to the Gozo School of Art. An informative experience consisting of a demonstration of traditional loom and macramé work will be held in the workshop area. The next stop is the pond at San Rafflu, limits of Wardija, followed by a visit to the church in Santa Luċija. Those participating will then visit and learn the history of Saint Anthony’s church at Mġarr. This will be followed by a wine tasting session in a typical Gozitan Vineyard

These cultural tours which are held from October to May are annually organised by The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. The tours are eagerly awaited by participants who have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of our national heritage.

Transport will leave from Floriana and from the Sliema Ferries at 07.30hrs (where one can choose either Maltese or English speaking guides) and proceed to Ċirkewwa to board the 09.00 hrs ferry and return with the 17.00 hrs trip.

Tickets for adults cost €21.50. €19 for senior citizens and children up to twelve years of age. These prices do not include the ferry ticket. Refreshments will be provided during the two stops.

Booking closes at noon on Wednesday 9th May or earlier if the tour is fully booked.
