Two men rob Qawra supermarket

The owner of a supermarket in Qawra was allegedly held up by two hooded men in the early afternoon on Wednesday, the police said in a statement.
The incident happened at around 1300CET in Triq ix-Xitwa, Qawra, when two men, believed to be foreigners, who were hooded and armed with a pointed instrument entered the supermarket and demanded the cash. At the time of the robbery there were no clients in the supermarket.
As the men attempted to flee with the cash and a laptop, a man intercepted the robber carrying the cash until he dropped the money and ran away.
Further investigations are underway.
