A 28-year-old Polish man was held in custody by the police after he was arrested at the airport on Sunday afternoon for drug possession.

The man who arrived on a flight from Dusseldorf was found carrying nearly 900 grams of heroin in 87 capsules in his stomach.

He pleaded guilty to association to traffic drugs and was remanded in custody.

The airport operation was conducted jointly by the police and Customs officers.
