‘This is the night’ lands Malta into Eurovision final

Kurt Calleja’s ‘This is the night’ has made it to the Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan, after making it through Thursday’s semi-final.
The countries which qualified in both semi-finals are – Romania, Moldova, Iceland, Hungary, Denmark, Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Russia, Ireland, Lithuania, Bosnia, Serbia, Ukraine, Sweden, Macedonia, Norway, Estonia, Malta and Turkey. These will join the ‘big five – France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and host Azerbaijan.
This will be the first time Malta will perform in the Eurovision final since Chiara in 2009.
