AFM Launches Official Website

The Armed Forces of Malta has launched its official website ( www.afm.gov.mt ). During an introduction, AFM Commander, Brigadier Martin Xuereb explained that in such a modern age it is necessary that even a disciplined force should reach out to the general public and the media community using web-based media. The official website includes a vast array of information covering all the spectrum of the Maltese military.

The public information officer of the AFM – Lt. Keith Caruana – explained the functionality of the website for the attending media as well as its relevance for the general public. The AFM looks forward towards a positive and functional relationship with the media community and the general public.

The Armed Forces will also feature in social networking sites, such as facebook. Its official facebook page can be accessed on http://www.facebook.com/#!/ArmedForcesOfMaltaafm

Lt Keith Caruana will be replacing Major Ivan Consiglio as the AFM’s Public Information officer.
