Five injured in two separate crashes
Two were grievously injured and another three sustained slight injuries in two separate traffic accidents on Wednesday afternoon.
A 19-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were injured in a traffic accident at around 16:45hes CEST on Wednesday afternoon in Triq Valletta, Imqabba.
The police said 19 year old woman suffered grievous injuries when her car, a Ford Fiesta, collided with a Tata Indica driven by the 52 year old man who suffered minor injuries.
A 21-year-old Marsa resident who was in the Tata Indica together suffered no injuries. The condition of the woman is stable.
Another three were injured in a separate accident in Mdina Road, Zebbug at around 16:20hrs CEST, also on Wednesday.
The police said a 65-year-old woman from Birzebbuga was slightly injured when her car, a Toyota Vitz, crashed. A 67-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were passengers. The 40-year-old woman is in a grievous condition but not in danger of losing her life whereas the man was slightly injured.
Further investigations are under way.
