A 28-year-old Romanian man, resident in Birzebbuga, is in critical condition after he was injures in an argument with another man at his home in Birzebbuga on Sunday evening.

The police said the two started arguing and a fight unfolded in the man’s residence in St Thomas Street.

He is now being treated at Mater Dei hospital and is in danger of losing his life.

A magisterial inquiry is in progress.
