Malta International Airport has reported that on Sunday afternoon, staff of Malta Airport’s Fire & Rescue section were called in to intervene to control a fire in the ladies’ public convenience in the Check-in Hall at the airport. No one was injured in the fire, although the amenities within the area suffered considerable damage. From initial reports, it seems that the fire was not accidental and a toilet paper roll was purposely set on fire. The police are investigating.
