Two, aged 19 and 22, injured in crash

A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman from Mosta were critically injured following an accident at around 13:00hrs CEST on Thursday.
The police confirmed that a Rover 216 driven by the 22-year-old crashed at Ghajn Tuffieha, limits of Mgarr. The two were rescued by the Civil Protection Department who needed to cut parts of the vehicle to release them from the wreckage. They were then rushed to Mater Dei hospital.
Further investigations are underway.
