27-year-old seriously injured in B’kara by-pass crash

A 27-year-old woman from Iklin was seriously injured in a traffic incident at Birkirkara by-pass at around 21:30hrs CEST on Friday.
The police said the woman was driving a Fiat Punto when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a barrier.
Rescuers from the Civil Protection Department were called to help to free the wreckage. She was then rushed to Mater Dei hospital where she is receiving treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
