Valletta will be the 2018 European Capital of Culture

On Friday Valletta has been officially nominated the European Culture Capital 2018 during a ceremony at St John’s CoCathedral.
The selection panel said they were persuaded that there is the will, drive and ambition as well as the strongly needed esteem to make Valletta European capital of Europe.
