President and Mrs Abela visit Maltese patients in London
President George Abela, and Mrs Abela left Malta to visit Maltese patients in London hospitals on Thursday afternoon.
They will be staying with the Franciscan nuns to have the opportunity to live close to the patients and their relatives. The visits include Great Ormond Street Hospital, the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Royal Marsden Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital and Kings College Hospital.
They will also be visiting patients staying at the Puttinu apartments in Sutton and other congregrations who provide hospice for Maltese patients.
President and Mrs Abela are expected to return to Malta on Wednesday.
