A 37-year-old man from Rabat was critically injured following a traffic accident in Triq Burmarrad, limits of St Paul’s Bay at around 07:30hrs CET on Saturday.

The police said the man was driving a Hyundai Accent when he crashed with a Ford Fiesta, driven by a 46-year-old woman from Mellieha. The woman was also slightly injured.

An inquiry is being held.
