Air Malta has cancelled Thursday’s flights KM698 and KM699 between Malta and Benghazi. This decision relates only for flights to be operated on Thursday, 24th January. Customers booked on this flight will be offered an alternative routing to and from Tripoli to minimise inconvenience.

Air Malta’s decision follows advice issued today by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office advising against all travel to the city. Whilst Air Malta regrets any inconvenience caused, the airline will always place the safety and security of its staff and customers as its highest
priority.

The next scheduled flight to Benghazi is on Tuesday 29th January, which has not been cancelled, and the airline will review the situation on an ongoing basis. Flights to and from Tripoli are unaffected and continue to operate as usual.
