€3000 stolen in Birkirkara hold-up

Cash and items whose value does not exceed €3000 were stolen in a hold-up on a shop-keeper in Casolani street, Birkirkara, at around 20:30hrs CET on Wednesday.
The police confirmed the shopkeeper was closing his establishment in when a hooded man armed with a knife ordered him to enter the establishment and hand over the cash. The shopkeeper was then bound and the thief escaped with the cash and some other items.
Further investigations are underway.
