Consular office opens in Misurata
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Malta Enterprise will be opening a Malta Consular Office in Misurata in the coming weeks. The Office will be processing visa applications for Libyan nationals to visit Malta and will be the main office which facilitates trade and investment opportunities for Maltese businesses in Misurata.
This positive development is a further commitment undertaken by the Government of Malta to reach out to the people of Libya during this delicate period of transition and capacity-building.
With the new Consular Office in Misurata, Malta is consolidating its presence in Libya. Apart from the Embassy in Tripoli, Malta now has a Consulate in Benghazi and in Misurata as well as the office of Malta Enterprise in Tripoli. The Government firmly believes that Libya presents a number of opportunities for local industry as well as an opportunity to assist our North African neighbours as they re-build their economy.
