The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the nomination of Magistrate Dr. Antonio Mizzi to be elevated to the office of a Judge and that of lawyers Dr Aaron Bugeja and Dr Charmaine Galea to join the judiciary as Magistrates.
The Government felt the need to fill the vacancies which arose following the resignation of a Judge on the 15th of December 2012 and the retirement of a Magistrate on the 3rd of February 2013.
In the process of nomination of the new members of the Judiciary, the Government focused on the values of quality, experience and integrity which are essential to the proper functioning of rule of law in our country.
