The Malta Cage Birds Association will be organizing its 18th Annual Bird Show at St.Vincent De Paul Residence, Luqa from the 6th till the 8th December 2013.
The Association said that usually about 1,600 birds bred by around 100 Maltese breeders are exhibited in the bird show. This year a national record of the biggest bird show on the Maltese islands will be attempted in collaboration with the Malta Records.
Birds exhibited will include coloured and posture canaries, Exotic and European finches, colourful parrots, doves and quails. All birds will be closed ringed and bred locally. International judges from across Europe will be judging these birds on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December 2013.
The official opening will be held Friday 6th December 2013 at 6.00pm and will be open to the public Friday 6th December from 18:30 till 21:00, Saturday 8th from 9:00 till 20:00 and Sunday 9th from 9:00 till 18:00. Apart from the birds on show there will also be birds for sale and stands from where to buy food and accessories related to bird keeping.
